Bill O'Reilly to Address The Daily Show's Confederacy of Slackers

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

This Thursday, November 13th, Papa Bear Bill O'Reilly — hungry to reach out to Jon Stewart's army of "stoned" army of "dopey college kids" — will be dropping by The Daily Show to talk, presumably, about about how hep and with it he is.

Here's the last time Bill and Jon sat down together, back in October of 2004, to tide you over until tomorrow night and while you're waiting for your "guy" to call you back…

Part 2 after the jump…

  1. Would you ask o' Reilly if he could stop referring to my native country (the Netherlands) as his primary example of depravity? It really, really angers me when he does that. Our crime rates per capita are way lower than America's, and I don't think actual drug consumption is that much higher either (pardon the pun). Personally, I don't do any psychotropic substances at all, so next time, think before you use my birthplace as a metaphor for Sodom and Gomorra.

  2. Mr. O'Reilly,

What does the flesh of newborn infants taste like?

  3. Tim,

According to nationMaster (a site that collects and compare stats from countries around the world), Drug use is more common in the USA than in the Netherlands. (Weed, 12.3% compared to 5.24%, respectively). But forget about the facts. For folks like o' Reilly, facts don't matter unless they come from his gut!

  4. Being a German who doesn't watch Fox a lot, I was a bit astonished about the bias against Mr O'Reilly on this site, before the show.
Now I have seen his performance of Thursday.
And I have to say: I do not quite understand what Jon Steward means when he states that he "enjoy(s) talking to you (that is O'Reilly). Ok, he has to be polite but – man, what an a"hole this guy is!
By the way: I can appreciate one segment with this guy. But please, if you have him again, please do not do two again!

  5. why even have this asshole on? he's scared? please, then he's a fucking sissy and bush still has him right where he wants em. also, anyone else notice he said he hates our entire government? uh, sounds pretty un-american to me. john, please just keep his appearances on the show to the clips where you point out how retarded what he says is. oh and bill, panda's have some black fur, dipshit.

  6. Why does Bill O'Reilly act like a wrestler? What is his relationship like with Hannity, he was dismissive of Sean in his Obama interview?

  7. Dear Jon,

Believe me! I know! It is nothing to be proud of: what's a 50+ white lady doing all day, sitting here in Scotland, reading all 1000+ comments, just to be sure that she was the ONLY one who gave the show something half way decent to ask Mr O'Reilly? (see comments: Ellen P November 12th at 4:22PM )

But now that you have taken up 2 of my suggestions (you also asked Obama my question too-also) I'm wondering whether I should be on payroll.

Actually, I just want to thank y'all there and give you a new one – a tip of sorts – breaking news!!! Something I was going to send to the Times, but knowing that it just might be over their heads – I'm going to give to you first.

Or at least – if I do send it to the Times I won't mention I'm sending it to you first. Keep a look out in you inbox from Ellen P – you got my address.

PS – It's kinda cute to read all the questions that came in after the show started taping, yet reinforces this notion of your audience being …. what we are.

  8. I can't stay up late enough to watch the shows, because I'm a 45 year old white guy who has to get up at dawn to go to his defense contractor job after getting two kids onto the school bus. So I record them and watch 'em a day late. It is the only source of news I can stand.

Oh to be a dopey college kid again (sigh)…

P.S. I saw O'Reilly's show once (first and last time), because I was on a treadmill in an Army gym across from the coalition Tactical Operations Center in Kuwait back in '03. I almost fell off the thing laughing when the slogan 'news without the spin came on'

  9. Nov 13 on the O'reilly factor, Bill ran a story on the increase of violence in Iraq. The story said that the government is stepping up its human intelligence program on the ground there. Unfortunately I believe this means "more torture and rendition". please grill O'reilly on his support for this program. I think this is the worst thing for our government, people, and humanity in general. our government is torturing people in our name. if this doesnt encourage people to hate america I dont know what does. this is also the worst evidence to date that we are not trying to spread democracy as the propagandists at fox would have us believe but simply carrying out a totalitarian agenda. please burn o'reilly's ass to the ground. he ran it as a damage control story concerning a bunch of good hearted christians against torture who have posted a video message to barak obama demanding that he end such programs. he (bill) immediately put his own spin on it saying to his largely conservative audience that this is an attempt by the far left at influencing the agenda of normal politics. as if torture was the norm. shame on bill o'reilly… unless maybe he pays hookers to clamp electrodes to his genitals and he really deep down likes that stuff…

  10. Those clips are actually not the last time O'Reilly was on the show. The clips from the whole October 18th, 2005 episode are curiously missing. You can check the episode guide on Wikipedia, he was definetely the guest, and I remember the interview getting a little heated. Anyone know what's going on?
