Bill O'Reilly on The Daily Show: UNCUT!
I know what you're thinking. That Bill O'Reilly clip from The Daily Show came oh so close to fulfilling my recommended daily intake of douchebaggery, but it just wasn't quite enough. And I really don't want to have to go dig up a clip of Sean Hannity on YouTube this close to the weekend.
Well, fret no more. Because here's an uncut version of Bill O and Jon S's conversation from last night…

If you say you get your news from a COMEDY show on COMEDY network you are the ones who scare me. I love this show as a liberal COMEDY show but I get my news from NEWS shows.
Why do you think 'conservative' comedy and shows don't work?
It didn't even last long on Fox News Channel.
I must complement Jon Stewart for his composure during a predictably disrespectful and hypocritical attack by Bill O'Reilly. To think that FOX news personalities claim they speak for the majority of American people makes me cringe. The fact that the public has elected a democrat as President, after facilitating democratic control of the Senate, speaks to the idea that most Americans are not moderate-conservatives. Just because the supporters of FOX are mostly backwards, bigoted, xenophobic, warmongering dbags does not mean that they represent the rest of us. FOX news is so far removed from reality with such a biased political agenda that it no longer resembles anything close to legitimate journalism (more like a tabloid); and, this willingness to overtly disseminate lies and propaganda ironically adds legitimacy to programs like the Daily Show, which actually maintains a respectable degree of integrity.
o come on jason….
really, do you think some one who has sense enough to laugh at this show would also enjoy a lil Rachel Maddow from time to time ?
Ummm… it still seemed cut to me, if we can't hear what they spoke about deuring the commercial break.
That the Daily Show features interviews with the likes of Bill O'Rielly, Bill Krystol and the like is its strength, not its weakness. Cpmedy or not, it is one of the few places where you get a genuine debate between liberals and conservatives. By demonizing and vilifying people you find distasteful, you move implicitly claim the moral high ground and end up sounding intolerant, sanctimonious and self-righteous, which is a dead end. The art of debate needs a serious revival in the U.S., otherwise you let the Hannity, O'Riellys, and Limbaughs say whatever they want without any reasonable debate (that, as we can see from the clip, leaves them looking quite foolish and close-minded).
If bill's role on fox didn't do it, then this interview surely should have deterred the 'book reading' population of America to avoid his latest demagogic assemblage altogether. Stewart cornered oReilly, who proceeded to act like a rabid donkey as per usual. Stick to your right of intelligent Fox devotees, billy.
Love and lattes John
You've reclaimed your spot on the top of my list.
Oh and THANK YOU for clarifying 'true conservatism' from the prejudiced close-minded garbage that bill &co. continue to purport. I don't really know Jesus, but I have a feeling he would be left of center too.
Keep up the quality entertainment!
Classic interview between O' Reilly and Stewart, both of whom I enjoy (Stewart's much much funnier of course).
Probably the best exchange I've seen between a Righty and a Lefty in a long time. We have to learn to talk to each other!
Obama seems okay, but honestly, we knew a lot more, a heck of a lot more about Jack Kennedy and his family before he was elected President in 1960.
JFK came from a famous, wealthy American family. Served in the Pacific in WWII. Was a two term senator from Massachusetts, etc. JFK had a history and a record.
Obama's father is who? Is where? Obama has how many half brothers or sisters? They live where? Obama has accomplished amazing things on his own, but who is the guy?
I am scared that Barack Obama is just a big unknown.
I'll see your Obama fear and raise you a Palin.
Whew.
