Election Day

We know that November 3, 2009 isn't a real Election Day. But still, we can all pretend. Right? Take a look at these six elections and let us know how much you care.

Bill O'Reilly on The Daily Show: UNCUT!

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

I know what you're thinking. That Bill O'Reilly clip from The Daily Show came oh so close to fulfilling my recommended daily intake of douchebaggery, but it just wasn't quite enough. And I really don't want to have to go dig up a clip of Sean Hannity on YouTube this close to the weekend.

Well, fret no more. Because here's an uncut version of Bill O and Jon S's conversation from last night…

  3. Seriously, could you people be any more immature?

  4. I think its pathetic when someone has to go to the "I'm tall (6 ft 4 inches, to be exact) so I'm better than you. Cal Thomas does the same thing. Its like God made them taller to show how much "better" they are. Totally lame, and Mr. Stewart is secure enough to essentially let it slide. I cringed when Bill said that. As long as your feet can reach the ground, you're tall enough. Height doesn't make up for ignorance. Frank

  5. I have to say I'm alittle disappointed that Jon was so polite with O'Reilly. This is the same guy, Jon continually liked to take jabs at on his how in several sketches. The only reason O'Really? keeps coming on to shows like Jon's and Oprah's is because he's out to promote and sell his books, and Jon is helping him spread his propaganda and bullshit.

Jon is much smarter than that. Under all those jokes, Jon knows the media better than they do. I greatly respect Jon for this reason and it sucks that after seeing him show us the hypocrisy and lies that Fox News spreads, that he would be so polite and kind to an arrogant racist like O'Reilly. Why didn't he slam him like he did to the guys at Crossfire? Come on, Jon you're better than that!!

  6. As long as we recognize he (Bill-o-the-Clown) is promoting a book, I actually think it's instructive to see him on a show like Jon's.

In Australia we have a show called "Enough Rope" (to hang themselves). In some ways, Jon helps to clearly identify who/what Bill-o-the-Clown is and what he represents on Fixed News.

Who else could have gotten Bill to say (about the war and why the majority now want the war to be over) "Americans want to win", and respond with "They're not just Jets Fans".

    Thank you for your time.

  7. Jon, you are more than welcome in Alabama, and I am a Southern Baptist, who just happens to watch your show EVERY night, thinks you are very cool, and actually voted for Barack Obama. My husband and I will even throw a big AL Barbecue if that is what you would like. Good luck and keep up the work!!!!

  8. O'Reilly is the furthest thing from an anarchist imaginable. Anarchists oppose unjust hierarchies whether they come from the state or from private power, such as News Corporation.

  9. America is hurting America, just the US part not Canada, though. Statistics like the 86% who doubt evolution, but desperately to the fantasy that the market will evolve toward the best situation for all. The vast numbers of Americans who believe in all manner of fantasy, including Adam and Eve, Noah's ark, and other comedy routines are trashing the future of the nation.

  10. I thought this was a good discussion. Like some others here, I believe we need to start a civilized national debate and it seems obvious to me that the left wing is going to have to set the example.

I have one disappointment about this show. When O'Reilly said he's afraid of all government (not just Barack), there's one question Jon needed to ask him: "Can you give me one example where you bashed/feared George Bush's government so consistently?"

That's the critical question that NEVER gets asked when conservatives play the "all-government-is-bad" card. A simple question like that is what's needed to bring a little accountability to O'Reilly's ramblings.
