Daily Kos Has Some Thoughts on Ralph Nader
One of the things I really like about the Daily Kos website is how thoughtful and even-handed the people in its community are. For example, take this refreshingly erudite critique on Ralph Nader's campaign left on the website over the weekend…
Anyone who sails with the Nader crowd deserves nothing more than ridicule.
Fuck Ralph Nader, and fuck his supporters. If the past eight years hasn't smacked any sense into their addled brains, then nothing will. This site caters to the reality-based community. No one else need apply.
Alright, I know what you're thinking. It's unfair of me to pick out a random comment and post it as though it represents the site as a whole or the site's founder, Markos Moulitsas. And you're right.
That's why I didn't do that. That was Markos Moulitsas.
That guy's gonna be some lucky president's chief of staff one day.

Fuck you too Markos Moulitsas. You are very typical of American voters. My prediction: Delusionally gloating Democrats will start to sober up very soon – as they realize that Obama can't do a damn thing for the economy, other than make excuses for why he's continuing to outsource US monetary policy to Goldman Sachs. It's your choice to believe comfortable lies than deal with the facts: elections are a fraud, the Federal Reserve dollar based economy is a fraud, the government is owned by Goldman Sachs and everything that what you were taught in school about laws and civics in US is a heap of lies.
Dealing with reality means that, first you'd have to admit that Goldman Sachs (ruined) runs the world economy, the political parties and elections are a shakedown scam and you (each American) owe over $50,000 to Hank Paulson, so that his Goldman Sachs buddies can continue to give sugar money to their favorite corporate wealthfare queens, while charging huge commissions and fees every step of the way to the American tax-slaves. People who wasted their votes on Obama deserve our sympathies, because they are too mentally ill to have voted rationally. They just 'go with the flow', 'roll with the punches', wait for their turn to be made into soylent green.
Fox talk show host Shepard Smith repeated my question that was posed for Senator Barack Obama in an interview with Fox radio station KTRH Houston but deleted the last several words after giant corporations. The full question posed to Senator Obama that is his to answer in the coming months was as follows:
"He is our first African American president; or he will be. And we wish him well. But his choice, basically, is whether he’s going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporations who are running America into the ground.”
Lock Nader in a Pinto while emptying cans of aerosol in his eyes. Bathe him in oil and spent nuclear rods. Gag his mouth with Triumph. Stone his supporters with veggie-burritos and force them to watch the extinction of one furry animal.
Let me fix some errors in Markos' statement:
"Fuck Markos Moulitsas, and fuck all the hateful morons at the Daily Kos. They call themselves a 'reality-based' community when they're clearly living in some demented fantasy land."
You bought the latest brand of soft soap with Obama's handsome face on it, so lather up and enjoy yourself. I left this shower with the herd mentality back in high school, but, obviously, some didn't. Their need to be one of the gang trumped their common sense and individuality.
700,000 plus Nader voters were not fooled and had the guts to
say so.
I'd love to feel that "even hand" across my caramel-colored tush
Just type in the name Nader in their search some time and you will read more hate than they have for Rove, and Bush together. They fear the left because the left will call them out on their BS.
Any time I hear someone say that Kos is "leftist" I have to laugh, they are a a blog of neo-liberals who cant they are no different than the neo-cons.
Typical GOP intellect. Mock and repress! Mock and repress!
You know, Nader may have pulled 1.6% of the vote in Florida. But the Natural Law, Reform, Libertarian, Workers World, Constitution, Socialist, and Socialist Workers Parties all had more votes than the “final” 537 vote margin in Florida too.
Face it Dems, and I say this as a Dem, Gore lost because he did not draw a big enough distinction between himself and Bush on the environment. I was in grad school at the time and I can’t tell you how many of my classmates I heard saying, “Gore and Bush are the same on the environment and that is why I’m voting Nader.”
I looked at them and said, "You're fucking nuts, right?" Alas, I was not able to sway them with suct tact.
Lesson that should have been learned: never take part of your base for granted.
This pretty much sums up the amount of incredible intellect that goes into your average Democrat's decision-making process. Not only can't they accept blame for their own failures, they're willing to vilify the best, most progressive and compassionate thinkers in our society in order to feed their bloated egos, justify their utter lack of political backbone, and hide from their unadmitted lack of progressive values. It illuminates the fact that they are mostly a crowd of self-serving egotists who treat politics like a sporting event.
