Rep. Linda Sanchez to Have Baby, Baby Daddy
California Congresswoman Linda Sanchez is pregnant! And before you ask — No, she isn't married. You got a problem with that, Ms. Manners?
Sanchez made the announcement yesterday, by granting an exclusive interview to the columnist Patt Morrison…
According to the column, Sanchez and her boyfriend of a year and half, Jim Sullivan, a public relations consultant, are "unofficially engaged." The baby is due May 21.
"I don't know how it'll be received," Sanchez told the L.A. Times columnist. "I hope people will recognize that to be able to plan that in your life — I don't think that marriage and childbirth are black and white. There are certain instances in which you have to do things in reverse order."
The 39-year-old Sanchez will be the first unwed mother ever in Congress. Needless to say, there have been plenty of congressmen who have fathered children out of wedlock. It's just easier for them to conceal their scandalous progeny (unless of course they get arrested for drunk driving while going to see them).
As for Sanchez's so-called "unofficial" fiancee, Jim Sullivan… He was last seen sneaking onto an outbound freight train with Levi Johnston.

Palin's *teenage* daughter wasn't blamed for anything and nobody said she had a problem (though obviously she does in a sense, what with the shotgun wedding).
Read this carefully:
The fact that Bristol Palin got pregnant at the age of 17 was relevant because Sarah Palin has been promoting abstinence-only sex education and still does. It is proven that abstinence-only sex education does not work and leaves people ignorant and vulnerable if they do decide to have sex (ignorant about contraceptives and ignorant about STDs). Nobody had a problem with Bristol, but the fact that Palin *still* didn't see that there is a problem with abstinence-only programs seeing as it didn't work for *her own daughter* was.
Hope you finally got that. The reason no-one is making an issue out of Ms Sanchez' pregnancy is that she is not 17 and relying to another's ideas of sex education to protect herself. A (presumably) informed adult woman getting pregnant is not the same as a 17 year old getting pregnant, presumably because she was uninformed thanks to her ignorant mother… who was about to treat the rest of the US to the same brand of ignorance.
And as a side note, nobody gives or gave a flying bleep about whether or not Bristol Palin was married. Marriage was not the issue (and "out of wedlock" shouldn't be an issue in the 21st century to begin with).
WHAT ABOUT PALIN'S DAUGHTER?! Everyone went off saying that her daughter had a problem because she had a baby and wasnt married and is a teenager!! What ABOUT SANCHEZ?! she is an adult obviously she is just as naive when she made the SAME MISTAKE! why isnt anyone making a issue out of this like they did to Palin?!
