Who on earth would elect an actor or celebrity?

Name some famous ones?

Ronald Reagan
Arnold Schwartzneger
Fred Thompson
Gopher from "The Love Boat"
Clint Eastwood Mayor
Sony Bono, Mayor and US Rep

I think people dismiss actors and comedians to quickly. You can have political views and desires and be on TV. Al Franken has been up to ears in politics for the last dozen years. Have you ever listened to his radio show? It is not a comedy show, but all politics.

I think he will lose this recount.

Jerry Springer paid consultants to see how he could run for US Senate in OH. He was told if he left his TV show for 6-8 years, he could rehabilitate his image. He appears to want the cash over politics. I think he is still on the air.

I dont understand how any sane person would vote for Al Franken
but this is the same state that gave us Jesse " The Body Ventura.
Come on now, you people are smarter than that ! Look, I live in
southern California, where maggots like this fool are crawling out of
the woodwork. Just look what "Auhnold" has done here. You folks
are too smart to elect this piece of s##t. Do the right thing.

one political party in this country seems to believe that a minor mistake in rejecting a ballot would be if the person voted even though they were in the cemetary, or was not registered, or was not a citizen of this country, or had voted many times, or the ballots were found after the election was over in a box in the mississippi river and all were cast for that party. members of this political party even braggs about all of this, but calls it voter supression if one dares to complain about all of the illegal votes or voters.

I have supported Al Franken since he began his campaign for I recognized his thoughtful sincerity and intelligence whenever discussing American issues on various TV programs making the listener think instead of laughing. I have also followed Norman Coleman's career and have found him to be very narrow minded, focusing on lowering or eliminating Federal taxes and programs without regard to their value and the large number of citizens who depend on them. I was so hopeful that Franken would be able to count the absentee votes which were disqualified by minor mistakes, but now hope he hangs in there "pursuing all other avenues open to him including legal action."!!
