I just found out my idiot state legislator, Chris Butters, wants to pass a state resolution encouraging stores to have "Merry Christmas" displays instead of "Happy Holidays". I suppose only a meaningless gesture to change a superficial display.
Besides, it's not like the state will have to slash it's budget by 11% this year or anything.
