The Daily Show: MSNBC Is the New Fox News
Clearly Fox News won't be the mouthpiece for the Obama administration, so MSNBC steps in. In order to do that though, they need foot soldiers.
Do you think MSNBC is the liberals' Fox News?
PERMALINK:

I guess this is the start of a new beginning for the TDS. For years Republicans and Fox News were the butt of their jokes because they were the ones in power. It'll be interesting to see how TDS responds to the new administration and its MSNBC mouthpiece in the next 4 or 8 years.
Once again you guys at the Daily Show head it right on the head! I have been thinking the same thing about MSNBC for a few months now. I also lost respect for Olberman when he gave Obama a pass with the FISA deal. MSNBC has not yet turned into full blown dirt-bags like FOXNEWS but they are the mouth piece and pom-pom girls for the new administration.
Now all bow down and praise the mighty Obama!
MSNBC is a reality based TV channel. If that gives them a liberal bias, then it's only because 'reality has a well known liberal bias.'
But seriously, Stewart has a point about Olbermann. Whilst he's right, he goes about being right in the wrong way.
Love ya Jon, but you put your foot in your mouth with Ann Hathaway, she isn't so incredibly "normal"; she did suffer from clinical depression in the past and just got out of that relationship with a true sociopath/conman who is facing jail.
I preferred the segment on Mumbai blasts from this episode, but that may be because I am an Indian. It was so nice to see someone in the american media (fake or not) finally express so clearly how we feel about these terrorists. Love you Jon and John!
Yep, believe that MSNBC will be the mouthpiece for the Huseein Obama reign. Please, though, please, don't anyone dare try to say that MSNBC is 'fair and factual'. THey have already proven they are neither & they will only conitnue to spread marxist and socialist propoganda.
No one is saying that MSNBC does not have it's problems or agenda. Everyone has rightly criticized them for certain things they do, certain biases, but it just seems to me that comparing them to Fox is an attempt at a joke that pushes an already touchy subject too far. It is the perfect way to incite so-called moderates who hate Fox but hate MSNBC to say "see we told you" when there is no real comparison at all. Oh and I would love to hear a factually incorrect statement that is repeated on MSNBC without apology like so many things are on Fox.
C'mon, don't waste your precious energy defending the likes of MSNBC. While I share everyone's loathing of FoxNews, its foolish to put any more faith in NBC or CNN.
Do your own research and don't forget your critical thinking cap. Quick ex: Were the generously funded and tactically elite terrorists in Mumbai dumb enough to leave their satellite phone (You know, the phone that had direct calls back to the boys in Pakistan) on the boat offshore that they supposedly highjacked and deserted?
How people trust the MSM who do nothing more than relay official government statements is beyond me. Fox News, MSNBC or otherwise. Do some blogging, some digging and put two and two together…
What isn't funny that this "comedy news show" is so much more credible than the mainstream cable shows. No one should defend the talking hacks claiming to spout out news. Thanks Jon for calling them out before the start to bullshit us as then new "Faux News"
Man its funny to finally see someone call out MSNBC, I remember watching the election and swapping between Fox news and MSNBC, figuring somewhere between both their bull was the truth….
