Obama Administration Speechwriter Getting a Feel for How to Handle Hillary Clinton
Looks like Obama's Team of Rivals is already getting a grasp of how it's planning to work together for the next several years…
[S]ome interesting photos of a recent party [Obama administration director of speechwriting Jon Favreau] attended — including one where he's dancing with a life-sized cardboard cut-out of secretary of state-designate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and another where he's placed his hand on the cardboard former first lady's chest while a friend is offering her lips a beer — popped up on Facebook for about two hours. The photos were quickly taken down — along with every other photo Favreau had of himself on the popular social networking site, save for one profile headshot.
Asked about the photos, Favreau, who was recently appointed director of speechwriting for the White House, declined comment. A transition official said that Favreau had "reached out to Senator Clinton to offer an apology."
Not exactly a confidence inspiring choice of words (or lack thereof) for an issue concerning a speechwriter, is it?
For what it's worth — possibly because the photo showcases the most action she's seen in years — incoming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doesn't seem to be all that angry about the idiotic picture…
Clinton senior adviser Philippe Reines cast the photos as evidence of increased bonhomie between the formerly rival camps. "Senator Clinton is pleased to learn of Jon's obvious interest in the State Department, and is currently reviewing his application," he said in an e-mail.
I guess it is kinda hard to get mad at the guy behind the guy behind the guy. Especially when his speeches are so fucking money, baby.*

I don't think it is Hillary who hasn't had any action. This guy is making out with a cardboard cutout. Did his inflatable woman spring a leak? Very professional, guys! You're apologizing just because you got caught. I hope you get fired.

Women everywhere, especially Hillary, should be outraged at this backwards sliding into time. This strong woman almost became the most powerful person in the world. Show her some respect. Not everyone loves her, but that's what makes her great, she is resilient!!

Imagine if this were a republican staffer doing this silly crap, there would be hell to pay. It will likely get swept under the rug. I am glad to see "Change" has arrived. Apparently it is OK to demean women everywhere so long as you voted for Obama.
