The 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee Will Probably Be White
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, recently touted by many as the Republican's great non-white hope, says he does not intend to run for President in 2012.
At a news conference Wednesday with Bob McDonnell, Virginia's 2009 Republican candidate for governor, Jindal was asked if he was interested in being president, AP reports.
His answer: "No."
Jindal said he's planning to run for reelection in 2011, something that would make pivoting to a national campaign logistically and politically tricky.
Well there goes the GOP's best chance to shed their racist image in the next election. That is, of course, unless my theory that Sam Brownback is a very light-skinned Haitian-American is proven true.

Ok, did it occur to anyone else that the failure of the auto bailout, brought down primarily by GOP Senators, now puts those with cash in a great position to buy up practically anything of value in this country? The financial bailout was to keep businesses that rely on credit rolling along. The auto bailout was really to keep middle class, mostly union, employees employed. Think about it. Keep watching the financial news for more bad news on Main Street for the forseeable future. And, all the Owner of the Means of Production need now is to break the Teamsters, and the deal is complete. What started with PATCO will finally be finished 25 years later. What took them so long? Can't these guys get anything right?

The rumors I'm hearing right now is that Repubs are planning on focusing more on gubernatorial races in 2009 – 2012 because they need to do a lot of “re-branding” and “re-imaging” The really serious challengers for the Presidency won't appear again until 2014.
