YOU DECIDE The Indecision 2008 Awards for Indecision 2008, Brought to You by Indecision 2008: The Best Campaign Villain of 2008

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

Your nominations for the Best Campaign Villain of 2008, as nominated by you…

Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann for channeling Joseph McCarthy by implying that the Obamas held anti-American views and calling for media investigation into other members of Congress to see whether they were pro- America or anti-America. (NoLongerDesperate)

Joe the Plumber for:
1) not being able to afford to purchase the company he mentioned in his question,
2) the company he mentioned did not gross more than $100,000,
3) trying to paint Obama as a Socialist because he wants poorer people to pay a lower tax rate, and
4) refusing to go away even though the election has been over for a month. (bearness)

Rush Limbaugh for suggesting Obama was off to forge a birth certificate in Hawaii days before his grandmother died. (Cube)

Keith Olbermann for not sticking to sports, lifting the sign-off from Murrow, sullying the name of NBC, and doing the same exact shtick he criticizes FOX for doing. (Cube)

The lunatic fringe of Ron Paul supporters for irrevocably damaging the public image of Dr. Paul and ruining his chances to be the Republican nominee. (Jim)

Barack Obama for being a Muslim, Arab, too-black, not-black-enough, Communist, socialist, Marxist, non-flag-pin-wearing, baby-killing, Hamas-endorsed, appeasement-practicing, elitist, community-organizing, eloquent, big-eared man who pals around with terrorists and can't bowl. (colbertmyantidrug)

All those lovely, soft-spoken, reasonable PUMAs whose passionate support of Hillary Clinton threatened to derail Obama's bid for the presidency. (NoLongerDesperate)

  1. I'm tempted to vote Limbaugh, but I'll have to go with Bachmann because her statements are especially frightening considering she's a member of the House of Representatives, and well… we just kind of expect that sort of behavior from Rush.

  2. Rep Bachmann is a villain of the worst sort, attractive, ostensibly well spoken and batty as a loon. She has no considerations other than her narrow theocratic agenda.

  3. I vote for Mrs. Bachmann, a completely wacko woman. Her main claim to fame is her ability to say normal things for 2.5 minutes, then look out! She truly believes the things she says, has no basis in fact, if cornered, then says Jesus told her to do it.

  4. I vote for Michele Bachmann as the Best Campaign Villain of 2008. Saying that we should investigate members of Congress to determine which ones are "pro-America" and which ones are "anti-America" is just the tip of the iceberg. She has campaigned by saying nasty, divisive things her entire career.

  5. Obama "vault birth certificate" can be seen on http://www.igormarxo.org. This looks alot more believable than the ones on the Obama or the "FactCheck sities. As Igor allude "Nonpolitical, impartial nonprofit" websites.

  6. Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, and the nutters who cost Ron Paul the nomination.

  7. Joe the Plumber!
