President-elect Barack Obama has approached CNN's chief medical correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, to be the country's next surgeon general, the cable news network said today…
Two Democrats with knowledge of the discussions over the surgeon general spot said Gupta was under consideration but cautioned there was not yet a final decision on who would fill the post. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media on the matter.
Outside his status as a celebrity of sorts, I'm not really getting the whole "appointment as Surgeon General" thing. Is Sanjay really the most qualified person for this job?
Okay, sure, his work covering the medical atrocities of the Iraq war and tending to wounded soldiers on the front lines is commendable, but his performance of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" in week four was absolutely cringe-worthy.

Maybe Mr. President is right, coz Gupta usually joined conduct medical missions that have the primary concerned on children’s health and other programs will promote children’s welfare. He is doing such kind acts because he believe that a healthy child has a healthy and brighter future.
