No child left behind is worthless. All it seems to me to teach is rote memorization. I'm stuck working with people who have no critical thinking skills at all. All they can do is parrot back lists. In fact, parrots have better reasoning skills than some of the younger people I work with. As for accountability, I'm all for teachers and prinicpals being held accountable for teaching, but when are parents going to be held accountable for getting their kids to school well rested, fed, dressed for the weather and with their homework done. If they didn't want to do all that, why did they have kids in the first place?

@ "NCLB Is One Of The Worst Education Policy In The History Of This Country."

It sure is! I can see the effect of NCLB has on children just by looking at your typing.

NCLB Is One Of The Worst Education Policy In The History Of This Country. It Has Done Nothing To Improve The School System. It Has Created A Huge Buerucracy. Barack Obama Wants To Transform The School System By Rebuilding It From The Bottom To The Top. The Head Of The DC Schools Is Doing A Fantastic Job. Maybe She Should Craft The Education Policy.

So, Bush's presidency was such a disaster that the best thing he could find about it was a statistically impossible, bass-ackwards act created by legislators with no experience in education that is hated by teachers, students, and taxpayers alike?

Well, I guess that pretty much sums Bush's legacy up...

I don’t see why we can’t roll back the accountability standards for teachers. We’ve certainly rolled back the accountability standards for Presidents. Its a pity really. To only get to say things like that for another 12 days. Then I have to be all “hopey” and “changey”.
