The Daily Show LIVE on Inauguration Day

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

You won't need to wait until Barack Obama's historic inauguration as the 44th President of the United States is old news on Wednesday night to get Jon Stewart and the Daily Show correspondents' perspective on the Inauguration Day events.

The Daily Show is all set to report LIVE on Inauguration Day night (is that an oxymoron?) Tuesday, January 20th at 11 pm.

As such, you won't be faced with a deafening silence on George Bush's forward retreat from office. Nor will you miss out on any of the huge bits of Obama inaudacious audacities of hopeful reality.

Jumbo shrimp.

  1. if its at its normal time how is it live coverage of the event. that happens at 9 am

I had the same question, but after re-reading, I see that they don't say "live coverage" of the event. It's just that the Daily Show will be shown live so that they can report on the inauguration the same day it happens. Normally, the Daily Show is taped so early in the day that they are covering the previous days events.

  5. Was abroad 8 years during the Bush presidency and it shocked me to find that for the first 6 of those 8, every time I came home I found out I was better informed in American issues than most Americans. The atmosphere of hate, fear, and unapologetic ignorance made my trips home a sad experience. I'm glad that my country is finally doing something that inspires people around the world not just people who never leave their living rooms. And yes, I'm now kind of grateful for Bush, because only a president so incredibly bad could wake up Americans from their own delusions about world politics, climate change, and money. Maybe we can now finally get on track with real lasting and positive change.

  6. Hey Jon! Thanks for the Great job you've done, and continue to do, in humoring the idiotic, and unfortunately now, catastrophic and criminal policies of the bush era.

I'm a New Yorker now residing in South Florida who watched you (from the very start) call Americans to their greater common senses view of these men’s greedy exploitation of free enterprise to turn our great country into a "den of thieves". I'm not trying to be funny but the actions of bush and chenney (oh my God!) make Al Capone look like a boy scout..

In final, I think we now have the President we seeked (God bless the king :) , but I believe with all my might that we can't let these guys get away with it. This is true not just for Americans, but for all countries affected by these guys, after they defecated on American international reputation killed innocent people and pulled off the greatest heist in recorded times as it pertains to our economy. MSNBC's Anchor Keith Oberman has a clip on his website where he takes the listener through all the bushchenny atrocities chronologically. I think we should prosecute these two guys, who were all calling for Bill Clinton's head (after, due to "Allure-Mystic phenomenon" when inside of the shape Oval Office, Monica had already dealt with that..), leaving us in unpresedented vulnerability.

You hear about people with a lot of money losing some of what they had, and very little about the little ones losing everyday items (i.e. car, cell phone, Love ones..) as a result of the poverty we find ourselves in. I say things do need to be addressed in order of priorities, but I believe Justice is blind and should not peak (and see that it's bushchenny) and decide to judge more leniently, criminals are criminals.

As Americans, we should demonstrate to the world that even if the culprits of evil are of American origins, we shall prosecute them to the fullest extent under our constitutional laws, in union with the international courts, so that all those around the world whom have lost loved ones may know "The Day Change Came To America".

  7. Proof that the Cheney era is ending…Check out his house on google earth. You can see it now!! It must have been depixelated(?) in the last 48 hours. Hope to see some of you in d.c. btw, We saw Dick Cheney today, he looked like he was laying an egg sac under the steps of the Russell Senate Office Building. Someone should probably look into that.

  8. Re: "Any idea where they will be filming?" It'll be live. They aren't "filming", or even "taping" (aside from for later rebroadcast). And I assume if there was room for an audience at this point, they'd put up information here.

  9. Joe, stuff coming out about Cheney- unbelievable. Guess he was a one man show. I don't care about his heart problem. Should have been dead a long time ago. Cheney should be tried as a war criminal. Not George Bush. Dick Cheney.
