Hillary Clinton vs. John Cornyn: Rumble in the Rotunda
Politico's Glenn Thrush reports on a run-in between Secretary of State nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican Sen. John Cornyn, the fellow who's delaying Hillary Clinton's confirmation as Secretary of State.
I bet those two just have so much to say to each other…
[Clinton and Cornyn] have been having a fairly heated (that is to say, intense but cordial) discussion just out of earshot under the Washington statue in the rotunda. Lots of hand gestures, back and forth and her squeezing his forearm.
Cornyn's spokespeople are now claiming the conversation was "warm and cordial," which surely isn't an exaggeration.
"Fairly heated" means "warm," right?
Small man (petty child).
Cornyn's holding out for suction.
He's holding out for suction.
Yes, she has him in a headlock and his heat is going to his head.
