Stephen is in the middle of announcing the end of the Obama administration when Steve Martin walks through his eyeline.
Who knew Steve Martin was so fucking unprofessional.

Steve Martin first got to me with his astrological joke-the only potty humor I ever liked. I felt instantly connected to him, that plus the arrow through the head joke. And the fact that he started out at Knott's Berry Farm. Stephen and Steve onstage at the same time. Priceless.
OMG. That was perhaps the funniest thing I've seen on TV in years. Had to put down what I was doing to watch the funny parody of that guy who yelled on the set.
Can they open a new category for Best Spoken Word by a Duo? Hilarious.
Besides taking all our voice over jobs, now you're taking the banjo too?

Stephen, you were right to let him have it the way you did. Steve Martin needs to learn that getting in the fucking way will not fly with you. You are his superior and I for one am glad you put him in his place.
That was the best! We were laughing as Stephen would yell, but then point out how he was looking forward to talking to him later. Stephen is the ONLY talk show we watch in this house!
And can I just point out that I thought it was funny how it was time to end the interview when it was Stephen's turn to meet Steve's banjo!

I really didn't like this segment. These are two of my all-time favourite performers, but the gratuitous swearing wasn't funny, unless it was a word for word parody of something that happened on some other show but with some oblivious unknown person walking through the eyeline/sightline. Either it needed more set-up, or it wasn't funny period. Yet, I still love these guys.
Of course Steve Martin deserved all the ire Stephen could muster. What a f*ckhead.
