Rush Limbaugh Doesn't Care Why Liberal Murderers Rape People for Allah (or Something)

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

Oh my god, have you noticed something weird? Like, really creepy weird?

We've gone about 48 hours and Rush Limbaugh hasn't said anything remarkably idiotic and overstated to the point of unintentional satire. This just feels wrong. So, very wrong.

Oh, wait, what's this?

Caller: So [liberals] can go somewhere else! Like, I don't understand, why do they have to stay here? Like, leave us alone!

Limbaugh: At this point, at this point Gretchen, I don't care about the why. They're not going to leave. They're trying to control it. At this point, the only thing is they must be stopped!

Caller: I agree…

Limbaugh: Within the confines of our Constitution, and the political arena of ideas, they must be stopped. I don't care why they see this country the way they see it. I don't care why a murderer does it. I don't care why a rapist does it. I don't care why this Muslim guy offed his wife's head. The NOW gang is out there saying 'oh, that's not domestic violence, that's just, uh, that's just…' what do they call it? 'Culturally honor killing. Or this woman was going to divorce him, that's against the law. That's his diversity.' I don't care, I don't care why anymore. If I figure it out, I'll be glad to tell you because it's interesting to know, but it doesn't matter in terms of defeating them.

Oh, I feel so much better now.

Thank you for that, Rush.

  1. That's just too much manipulation in one comment…lol
I found the video pretty funny actually. For me the caller actually poked fun at naive liberals trying to argue with Limbaugh too.

  2. Is it intentional that the caller in the video looks like a young Richard Nixon calling on the hotline?
Isn't making a video that manipulates another video while pointing out how manipulative Rush Limbaugh is, a bit manipulative?

  3. The past election has clearly demonstrated that Rush Limbaugh does not have the influence any more to really swing an election. The more he sees his power slip the more outrageous and shrill his comments become. I stopped taking him seriously and descided to have a sense of humor about his escapades. I found this fantastic video of a call into the Rush Limbaugh Program. This gave me a great laugh this morning. I hope you enjoy it too.

  4. you Rush fans and I don't mean the great band, his co-worker George Noory of Coast to Coast AM has questioned Bush, uncovered information of Bush's Skull and Bones Days, exposed the fact that Bush wanted Dubai wanted to guard our ports with Bush's blessing, you know, the county that house terrorist allegedly, and Rush says nothing? If you believe what Rush says, then boy, are you gullible.

ACLU Says Seizure of Rush Limbaugh's Medical Records Violates Florida's Constitutional Right of Privacy

    February 18, 2004

    MEDIA CONTACT:
Alessandra Soler Meetze, Communications Director ACLU-FL, 305-576-2337 ext. 16

PALM BEACH – Saying Palm Beach County officials violated Florida’s constitutional right of privacy and state law when seizing Rush Limbaugh’s medical records, the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida today filed a friend-of-the-court brief in partial support of the conservative radio commentator, who is the subject of an on-going criminal investigation involving alleged "doctor-shopping."

By the way, the privacy act? Was the result of Roe vs Wade.

Carlson attacked ACLU for not "standing up for Rush Limbaugh" — but ACLU took Limbaugh's side

Summary: Tucker Carlson attacked the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for "not standing up for Rush Limbaugh" while he was being investigated for allegations of committing fraud to obtain prescription painkillers. But in January 2004, the ACLU filed a friend-of-the-court brief in Limbaugh's case protesting the state of Florida's seizure of Limbaugh's medical records as a violation of his right to privacy.

On the May 1 edition of MSNBC's The Situation, host Tucker Carlson attacked the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for "not standing up for" nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh while he was being investigated for allegations of committing fraud to obtain prescription painkillers. Carlson asked: "Where is the ACLU?" and concluded: "They're not standing up for him because they think he's a right-wing creep. That's why." But in January 2004, the ACLU filed a friend-of-the-court brief in Limbaugh's case protesting the state of Florida's seizure of Limbaugh's medical records as a violation of his right to privacy.

Limbaugh was arrested on April 28. Under an agreement with Florida state authorities, he pleaded not guilty to a charge of illegally obtaining prescription drugs and will avoid prosecution provided he passes random drug tests over an 18-month period.

From a January 12, 2004, ACLU press release:

In a motion filed today, the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida said state law enforcement officers violated Rush Limbaugh's privacy rights by seizing the conservative radio talk show host's medical records as part of a criminal investigation involving alleged "doctor-shopping."

"While this case involves the right of Rush Limbaugh to maintain the privacy of his medical records, the precedent set in this case will impact the security of medical records and the privacy of the doctor-patient relationship of every person in Florida," said Howard Simon, Executive Director of the ACLU of Florida.

The ACLU's request to submit a "friend-of-the-court" brief on behalf of Limbaugh was filed today with the Fourth District Court of Appeal. The ACLU said in its motion that the state infringed on Florida's constitutional right to privacy when it failed to follow well-established protocol, mandated by law, when confiscating Limbaugh's medical files. The organization stated that its interest in the case was "to vindicate every Floridian's fundamental right to privacy by ensuring that the state be required to comply" with the law.

The ACLU's brief was approved the following day by the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida.

From the May 1 edition of MSNBC's The Situation with Tucker Carlson:

RACHEL MADDOW (co-host): If you want to have a debate about whether or not it should be illegal to doctor-shop and gets tons of OxyContin in Florida, if you want to have a debate about whether or not the drug laws are right, I'll have that debate with you. But the question of whether or not Rush Limbaugh was selectively targeted and got nailed here in a way he wouldn't have if he wasn't a right-winger is ridiculous. He's getting off with nothing when there was so much evidence against him. This is a case of great American lawyering.

CARLSON: I'm telling you he wouldn't have been prosecuted in the first place, but I am saying this is a perfect example for liberals to stand up. Most liberals aren't standing on principle, I guess, is the point I'm making.

    MADDOW: Come on.

CARLSON: Where's all the — I'm dead serious. Where is the ACLU? Where is all the — the chorus of the anti-drug people, and I'm on their side, the anti-drug-law people, because I actually don't like drug laws that much.

    MADDOW: Fair enough.

CARLSON: But why aren't they standing up for Rush Limbaugh? They're not standing up for him because they think he's a right-wing creep. That's why.

  5. I don't get why the republican callers to Rush's show think that republicans own the country – if they don't like it here, why don't they leave?! Oh yeah it's because they really love this country and all it's ideals as long as the muslims are persecuted and democrats are demonized and illegal immigrants are ousted and lies are perpetuated. Democrats and people with brains, not liking the past four years of ugliness in this country and the current mess we're in – are trying to clean up the messes made by deregulation and corruption.

  6. Good. Where the heck do you think you are? The Disney Channel?

by Hilo February 20th at 5:44PM
  7. @Brett: I agree there are "crazy extremists" on both sides. But the only publicly vocal ones all seem to be Republican neocons. Small minority you say, but a lot of right-wing conservatives came out in droves to elect GW Bush to a second term. I wouldn't call that a "…small vocal minority", when it was also championed by Newt Gingrich before Dubya ran for office.
    Please explain.

  8. @Hilo:

You *do* realize you just sound like a left-wing Rush, don't you?

Look, there are crazy extremists on both sides. To claim that Rush's insanity typifies all "Repub"s is ridiculous. "His cause" is championed by a small, extremist, vocal minority of people who call themselves Republican, but I cannot believe that they represent even a significant minority of said party.

  9. The longer the Dem's are in office, the more Repub dirty little secrets get brought out into the open. Therein lies the fierceness of
    his cause and strategy:

    1. cultivate discontent
    2. rally the mob
    3. beat down the soft-hearted in power
    4. retake the WH
    5. resume destructive activities

You have to admit, he's consistent.
