The Daily Show: Fox News Vigilantly Cites Another Joe Biden Gaffe

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

Joe Biden forgets a website, and Fox News thinks it's newsworthy enough for satellite pundit analysis.

Should they lay off their "see something, say something" policy to catch their own mistakes?

  1. To Lank:

    1) Fux News is a more appropriate title to give to these American Pravdaists.

    2) Jon Stewart spent the early part of his tenure at the Daily Show mocking then president Bill Clinton's sexual gaffes before Bush took over the White House. And the Republicans running roughshod over the Democrats and every law and protocol in the U.S. and the world have given people like Stewart and Stephen Colbert an endless supply of material to work with over the past eight years. So, until the Democrats get their opprotunity to mess things up in their own fashion, I suggest you and your kind stop your sniveling whining and get over yourselves in a hurry. OK?

  3. To Lank:
Just a couple things, since it's obvious you don't watch the show…
I believe McCain has been on the Daily Show something like 13 times, which is more than any liberal or democrat, and I don't think he keeps coming back to be made an ass of by Jon. He is hardly the only conservative who has had multiple interviews with Stewart and didn't play the clown.
Also, I take issue with your assessment of Jon Stewart not being a real journalist (though I agree 100% that no one company should be the sole source of information).
But the sad fact remains that this "fake news show" is the only place I've ever seen a clip of something a politician said followed by a clip of them saying the opposite. This is one of the most basic functions of pure journalism (you said blank here, but you said the opposite of blank before…why?), this is what gives the watchdog its teeth– the ability to shine light in dark corners and hold people accountable.
What it comes down to is this… if I were falsely accused by the government, and evidence was out there proving me innocent, the corporate "liberals" (yeah, Kristol, you too) at the NY Times wouldn't be my first choice to investigate. You can rely on the Post if you want to.

  4. Dear Simple Lank:

First, as others have now pointed out, you clearly have never watched the Daily Show – at least not with any consistency… had you done so, you would know that Jon Stewart has had a host of conservatives on his show, of whom he very much admires (it seems that Bill Crystal is on the show quite often, and that the sparring they do is much more a sign of respect between people who have different points of view… but wait, as a “staunch conservative,” you can’t understand how anyone would have a different point of view; sorry, “my bad.”)

Second, last time I checked, former PM Tony Blair was head of the Labour Party. When, in your myopic mind (if he supported Iraq, he must be conservative… really, you are quite a dolt), did the Labour Party morph into a right leaning party? Honestly, do you have a clue of what you speak? Or do you think you matter if, like a primate, you fling your excrement onto the wall with proud and vain ignorance? Look, I make mess… I matter.

Lastly and sadly, I’ve wasted enough time on someone as, well, retarded as you. (retard, before you go all postal, means to hinder, to hold back… as in your comments retard the general conversation) But, before I leave, I’d like to add that someone, such as yourself, who “hates” Jon Stewart for “oversimplifying” complex issues while proffering arguments that are oversimplified, self-absorbed, vapid, insecure and factually wrong would drastically improve the common good if you took a big step back and literally F*%@ed your own face…

  6. I wish I could tell the difference b/w Fox News and the Daily Show/Colbert Report, but when you report stories like this one, it just seems like Fox is in it for the entertainment instead of the news.
