Bobby Jindal Speaks Out About Bobby Jindal's Speech
Dennis called it "snake-oily." Matt took the Kenneth-from-30 Rock comparison and ran with it. Bill Clinton undermined as only Bubba can. And I pointed out that it's easy to confuse "conversational" and "condescending." In other words, everyone who's anyone has expressed an opinion about Bobby Jindal's speech last week, except Bobby Jindal.
"Look, I get that people thought I could have spoken better. I get that. That's fine … What's important to me is the content. I'm a policy guy. You guys know that. I've always been a policy guy, always will be a policy guy. The ideas are important. The substance is important," Jindal told reporters in the state Capitol, a day after returning from a family vacation.
Aww. Bobby Jindal is as eloquent in his defense as he was when he did the thing for which he now needs to defend himself.
He's right, though. It's ideas that are important. Substance. That's rule number one in the Republican playbook. How else could we explain the rise of Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber? Hey, you know what's another good idea? Hiring a speechwriter. I hear it's not uncommon, for people who have to give speeches.
[D]espite the repeated criticism over the last week, the Louisiana governor refused any suggestion he might hire a speechwriter.
Yeah, on second thought, screw ideas.
And words.
And crap like the theory of evolution that combines the two.
Bobby Jindal sucks. Check out Jon Stewart taking on the idiots in 2004.

Bobby Jindal just made my week last week. The whole Republican Party is acting like a circus. It's hilarious. Can you believe going out there and actually supporting and defending Jindal? Sean Hannity can. Watch this funny clip of Jindal on the Sean Hannity Show. Great…

Yes, lets look at the content. Specifically, lets look at your Katrina story. You know, about how you and Sheriff Lee threatened civil disobedience against two out of control bureaucrats.
Maybe you should have mixed in some sniper fire for all the truth that story had. The phone call Jindal sat in on took place days after the boat incident and Jindal just happened to walk in during the middle of the conversation. He wasn't there to lend any weight to the conversation taking place.
