Did you watch LaPierre's enitre speech, I did. He was in NO WAY warning about "guys with the guns make the rules". He was endorsing that ideology and so was the audience. Maybe the audience was cheering for the death of newspapers because of the "crappy job" they do. However, that's still an awful thing. Conservatives are suppose to respect the Constitution. Newspapers and their right to political speech is a primary component of the document. And when have you ever heard Obama or Kerry call troops terrorists? Are you referring that obviously botched joke by Kerry a few years ago? Get informed before you spew that kind of trash like its the truth.
First thing, john stewart is not funny. His humor has no basis in reality and would only be mildly entertaining to uninformed left wing dimwits that do not understand that republicans want a smaller government so as to maximize individual liberties. The cruel policies of the left have destroyed generations of families of minorities. Look at the economic and social condition of every major inner city in this country. Every inner city in this country has been governed exclusively by leftists for over thirty years. If I was a racist clansman, I would be a rabid Obama fan and liberal because their policies will be suffered mostly by minorities and the poor.
Sadly most republicans don't follow their parties ideology for small governments. Bush increased military spending to astronomical amounts (google the actual spending) and largely increased our nation's debt.

Your argument would hold water if Republicans actually did downsize government and protect liberty. Unfortunately, the past Republican "regime" did neither. Bush and the Republican Congress only increased the government, primary Dept Homeland Security. Personal privacy and Habeas Corpus were thrown out the window.
Why is it that republican trolls come here? America knows you are liars and flaming hypocrites, and yet somehow you think your tired shtick and transparent lies are going to convince anyone. You folks should go start your own country since you believe that you are inherently better than the rest of us and, of course, your opinions are the only relevant ones.
dullly: Bush introduced warrantless wiretapping via the legal opinion of the DOJ (Department of Justice) that the executive branch did not have to abide by Constitutional law and could bypass the legislative and judicial branches in said matters. This was done in the name of the "Global War on Terror" shortly after 9/11/2001.
If this is what Republicans refer to as "personal freedom" and "less government", then they are very confused or pulling a fast one on the citizens.

It continues to amaze me … that we continue to get a better quality of news reporting and truthful relevant journalism from our political satirists than from the majority of the mainstream news itself …
