Your Two Minutes Hate on Bernie Madoff May Begin Now
Bernie Madoff, Mr. Ashen-Faced Jew New York 2009, is going to jail after pleading guilty to killing landmine orphans, or whatever it is that made everyone hate him so much:
Bernie Madoff's bail was revoked today after he pleaded guilty to 11 counts of fraud in the biggest swindle ever. He'll be formally sentenced on June 16 and faces a maximum sentence of 150 years.
Madoff had been allowed to stay in his expensive Manhattan apartment on bail before today's plea. But that's all changed.
Madoff is now in jail at the Metropolitan Corrections Center, very near the Federal courthouse building where he made his plea.
And he is now known as inmate #61727054.
Non-union auditions for the police captain who will pursue Madoff (61727054) for the rest of his life will take place tomorrow at Chelsea Studios, 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m..

Putting Madoff in jail for 150 years is for his own protection…he wouldn't last 2 hate-filled minutes in a room with some of the people he deceived.

Just for the hell of it, what if Bernie Madoff happend to be, say … Christian, and not Jewish? Would Eric March have started his column with "Bernie Madoff, Mr. Ashen-Faced Christian New York 2009 . . .? NO, Eric March is of a Christian faith and wouldn't have disparaged his own religion in this manner. By doing the "Jew" thing, March has shown the public exactly what sort of anti-Semitic pig he is!

Sort of. Not that I'm a fan. He seems, technically speaking, to be quite a taint. I do believe, however, that the level of scapegoating borders on hysteria with some seriously unnerving mobby undertones, and that we need to take maybe half a step back. He is just one guy after all and, while what he did was odious, the system that allowed him to thrive is really what stinks. How did the SEC not catch him? Not least, I assume, because it was and is staffed by Master of the Universe-wannabes who revered him as a god and were too busy licking his ass to actually do any inconvenient investigating.
It's hard not to feel that most of us are still being ripped off, some more illegally than others. By shoving all the blame off onto one guy, we're letting the rest off easy.

Are you hinting that the hatred the collective we have exhibited for Madoff does not fit the crime? That it is only money after all? So maybe we should have shown more hate towards ruthless dictators, mass murderers, etc? (same question can be applied to the Octomom btw) Personally I think what riles people is 1. the smugness as exhibited by Madoff, 2. the feeling of being betrayed by "one of our own" (as opposed to say a ruthless dictator in some remote country), & paradoxically, 3. the resentment that he used money that he scammed to support his and family's lavish life while the rest of us masses live like, eh, regular people.
