God Hates Gay Marriage, Plotted Miss California's Loss
Remember Miss California Carrie Prejean, that brave little leathery beauty contestant who boldly took a stand against civil liberties in front of — I don't know — dozens of TV viewers over the weekend and ultimately ended up losing the pageant?
Well, it turns out that it wasn't her fault she lost or made an idiot of herself on television. It was God's will…
"Out of all the topics I studied up on, I dreaded that one; I prayed I would not be asked about gay marriage," Prejean told the Fox News Channel's Courtney Friel in an exclusive interview. "If I had any other question, I know I would have won."
Wow! She truly will be remembered as one of the great martyrs of Christendom.
In her interview with Friel, Prejean explained that, ultimately, the greatest judge of her character was not the one who asked her the question, but the one who doesn't need a TV camera to watch her answer.
Santa Claus is against gay marriage?
"This happened for a reason. By having to answer that question in front of a national audience, God was testing my character and faith," Prejean said. "I'm glad I stayed true to myself."
Oh, God. Duh!
Wait, so God fixed it so Miss California would lose? Even after the whole state voted to roll back homosexuals' rights to marry?
Oh. I'll bet he's still mad about Brokeback Mountain.

i think she answered the way, the question was asked. i bet if a lesbian answered the question and said that i hope that they legalize in every state then she would have praised for it. but miss cali stated what she belivied in just like the lesbian would have reacted.
and if we live in america and we are not entitled to say how we feel then why ask a question that you know that sometimes you arent gonna like the answer. there always people who are gonna be offeneded by what you say, heck im offended by gays, and the teacheing of evolution, and allowing other religons to be spoken about in schools. but im not allowed to talk about christainity in school becasue, it might offend someone.some freedom of religion we have. and of speech.and humility is a real christain value it allows you to put god first. and thats what she did she put her beliefs and opinions first, and thats why she lost.
Remember the segment Jon Stewart did a few days ago advising Sean Hannity not to over-exaggerate things and accept the simple fact that he lost the election?
For "election" you can substitute "vote on Proposition 8".
Carrie Prejean is "leathery"? Well, I think you are blatantly wrong about that, but it is easier to prove you are wrong about her being "little". She's 5'11".
No, she won't be remembered. I mean, it's not like anyone remembered, or made a movie about, Eric Liddell.
felix could you explain how any part of this issue has anything to do with misogyny? i mean sure it's a beauty pageant but why is perez's response an especially misogynist thing? or do you just maybe have no idea what that means except for this general hazy impression that it's involved in the same sorts of sentences as pretty blond girls?
also, you mention not allowing gay men on the judging panel "if they're going to use it as a media springboard." i'm not sure if you realize the startling level of generalization you're reaching with that kind of a statement but as a general protip for the future you might want to shy away from determining the future actions of everyone of a sexuality based on the actions of one man in the same breath you use to condemn bigotry.
why would a gay man judge a womans beauty? dont they love penis?
perez hilton is a mysoginist and reacted like a child when miss california did not immediatley jump on the "gay is ok" bandwagon. Personally i find homosexuals morally offensive and i dont understand why they have so much presence on today's television. Thank you miss california for speaking your heart and keeping a civil tongue throughout this debacle. I hope mr trump removes gay men from judging contests in the future if they intend to use it as a media springboard, but then again you would probably say no such thing as bad publicity. mysoginy and bigotry id rather not walk either road.
No. Miss Cali doesn’t get kudos for “speaking the truth.” She gets kudos for saying what she really believes in instead of what would be popular with the target audience.
After all, and lets be real, the target audience of the Miss USA Pageant isn’t straight guys, especially if Perez Hilton is the celebrity judge. For some inexplicable reason we straight guys would rather watch dirty, sweaty guys rub against each other on a sports field than watch beautiful, elegantly dressed women play the piano. Someday I’ll figure that one out, but until then I’m watching SportsCenter.
But I digress. What Miss Cali does not get kudos for is inarticulately expressing her opinion regarding same-sex and “opposite” marriage.
It's great to see someone stand-up for the truth. Most of us have been so brainwashed by our professors, the mainstream media, etc… that we have become "politically correct" zombies.
I love it when God takes sides in an Beauty Pageant. Cause, there aren’t any more important things in the world for God to be looking after.
However, I still like the idea of legalizing “Opposite Marriage.” But it needs to mean something extraordinarily kinky. I’d hate to think that “Straight Marriage” and “Opposite Marriage” are the same things. Where’s the fun in that?
She lost the dillydoo because she sounded like Miss Teen South Carolina in the 2007 Miss Teen USA widget when she rambled, “I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because ugh Osama people out there in our nation don’t have maps and I believe that our education and such as in South Africa and Iraq and everywhere and such as and…”
Christ, I’ve committed that to memory. Someone save me!
So God likes it when vapid sluts further the goals of an oppressive and exploitative patriarchy by parading around in swimsuits and acting ditzy, but he doesn't like gays?
I guess I learned something today.
"If I had any other question, I know I would have won."
Then basically, you're saying God didn't want you to win. So… why the butthurt?
Besides–humanoid, PLEASE. How are you so sure you would have won?
Humility: a real Christian value. Learn you some.
