David Letterman's Fate Decided by Internet Geniuses
I haven't been officially diagnosed as possessing a third-grade-level intellect, I have strong opinions about media and politics, and I loooooove filling out Internet polls.

What depresses me the most is the 2 percent of people who couldn't even grasp the concept of what was being asked, but still took the time to respond and let everyone know how confused they were.

And by the way, when is someone gonna take on that douche John Ziegler for trying to turn this whole subject into nothing more than an infomercial for his lame DVD Docudrama on Palin? Talk about exploitation. That guy is a total dick!

This is such bullshit. Dave shouldn't have apologized, he had nothing to apologize for. Palin should apologize to her own daughter for putting her in the spotlight back during the campaign days.
She, Palin, should further apologize to women everywhere for not having the mental capacity to at least hurl an appropriate dig at Dave–I might have respected her more for that. She might have shown that she didn't expect any preferential treatment as a politician just because she's a woman.
And for crissakes, it was a JOKE done by a late night comedian–grow a fucking sense of humor already.
A skin prevents someone from taking a joke the wrong way, from getting inflamed over nothing, and from rioting in the streets if things get a bit worse.
My advice is to grow a skin, and learn how to laugh and forgive– and above all, how to avoid wasting valuable energy and mental space getting in a big huff over a misunderstanding.
No one debates the joke was out of line. But David did not run from one talk show to another in order to exploit her daughters. Then when she accepts the apology she uses the military!! There are military people that didn't like that, but will she apologize?
