Is This More Offensive for Being Racist or for Being the Laziest Thing Ever?
Every once in a while, I feel myself sort of injected with a sense of positivity, with a feeling like things in the world are not horrible and that people are not disgusting and vile.
Then I see something like this "Historical Keepsake Photo" which was emailed around amongst Republican legislative staffers in Tennessee…
…and then I grab another tube of Pringles and climb back under my blanket fort.

HAHAHAHA….that was just as funny as the joke about my daughter is.
Well, this montage was obviously made before the election, then sent out later. Like Dave's "knocked up" joke, it was misinterpreted by the political opposition.
This is good evidence that "partisan", as defined by Webster's, involves "exhibiting blind, prejudiced, and unreasoning allegiance". That is, an impulsive and irrational element exists, on both sides, which gets inflamed during heated/stressful/difficult times, and jumps to conclusions, rather than being rational and forgiving.
Um.. What would be a more rigorous joke comparing Obama to his 43 predecessors?
Definitely offensive because of race.
It's probably more offensive for wasting taxpayers' money. This is beyond juvenile.
My answer to the freak(s) owning this and enjoying it: On the battlefield we all bleed the same. IF a person of another color & religion is there to save the life of your loved one, is it really a problem? You'll answer "Oh, no that is different". No it is not. They don't have to be doing something for you to be given respect.
Like most racist jokes, it is offensive because it is racist… but also because they couldn't even be bothered to re-size the picture of GH Bush to match the other pictures.
It took me a good thirty seconds to even look over to the right enough to figure out that the eyes were supposed to be Obama.
I kept thinking "Okay, there's a reason this picture is the biggest… what is it?"
But nope. It was just lazy.
