I would love to see so-called Christians in America devote half of their gay-bashing energy to actually defending the rights and needs of the afflicted (Proverbs 31:8) and loving ALL of their neighbors as themselves (8 times in the Bible). Or, for starters, if you're so obsessed with obscure regulations from Leviticus that have been dubiously translated countless times, quit eating shellfish and start following the regulations on preventing mildew, disposing of blood, weaving your own clothing, and celebrating Yom Kippur. Here's a good one for ya: Leviticus 19:27: \do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.\ Please, we can see through the weak pretexts for your unabashed hatred.

"Obviously, as everyone knows, there are a billion jillion gazillion excellent reasons to keep a small percentage of citizens of this country from being allowed to get married to each other and not affect my life at all."

How can anyone say that legalizing gay marriage will not at all affect the lives of Americans? If this is a civil rights issue, which the homosexual community is trying to frame it as, does it not affect everyone? That's like saying the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s didn't affect anyone but the blacks. Are you kidding me?

The question is not whether or not you feel it's right get gay married. It's whether or not you feel it's right to make that choice for someone else.

Some of these comments do not make for good arguments for or against. I personally am against it, my God finds homosexuality a sin. However, I will not disrespect you if you are gay. In the end we will all be held accountable for the things we did in life.
