To paraphrase Charles Pierce (in his book "Idiot America"), the presence of Sarah Palin on a national political ticket should have been seen by all of us as an affront comparable to the elevation of Caligula's horse. [Look it up, if you must.] To be fair, the insult was worse, for the horse presumably never suffered from narcissistic personality disorder, as some McCain staffers feared Palin does, nor did anyone assert that the horse attempted human speech, as we know Palin does.

Should Palin ever again be tapped for national office, one may hope that she will toss her lovely mane and then do what even Caligula's horse could have done, and reply, simply, "Neigh!" [Homophone intentional.]

She could have been Vice President and she can't take \the politics of personal distruction and wastful spending associated with it\ from Alaska? How much time and money was spent persuing Bill's blowjob?

One more sign she can't play on the national stage. You betcha.

And wasn't she the one screaming \socialist\ and \terrorist lover\ at Obama? I guess the politics of personal distruction is okay when she is on the dealing end.

She's done and over as far as future office goes. Maybe she can get another book ghost written. Maybe Fox News will give her a job. Maybe she can fund raise forever and create AstroTurf organizations like Newt.

But President 2012, not anymore. She crumbled in the face of scandle before her reelection campaign started.
