Jon Stewart: Shut Up, Mark Sanford
When Michael Jackson died, I thought for sure Mark Sanford must have had something to do with it, since it conveniently drew attention away from himself. But Sanford continues to maintain a high profile, so the culprit must have been that other politician who wanted us to forget he exists. What was his name again?

Any person that would tell kids as they're growing up that they should give up their lives for that person is the most hideous form of child molester.
When are they going to bury that freak show, Michael Jackson. We should not celebrate any druggy for killing himself with drugs. What does that tell kids growingup? Too bad we can't show as much admiration for the soldiers that gove their lives for us. What did Jackson do for us? Molest kids and take drugs.
The latest Reps. to "bite the dust" (Palin and Sanford) are two examples of those who became waaaay too holy!! Of course, it is the tendency of the godly to mix up love/hate, goodness/evil and the like. The Good Book warns us of those who come to us "in sheep's clothing." I've never in my long life seen it to fail. Being a religious fanatic, Palin lost her way from the beginning of McCain's silly attempt to win by choosing someone so incompetent, that he failed to look long enough to figure it out.
Or as it was so aptly put in Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway", "Please, don't speak!"
