Seriously! What's he doing at a Medieval ceremony celebrating ritualistic sacrifice like that? He doesn't need to pretend to believe in that kind of childish superstition.
It's not like he lives in America.

It is *so weird* that US / North american politicians have to put up this charade with the whole Christianity thing. In recent history over here, Tony Blair felt he should play down his Catholicism (in fact, he hadn't even come out as being Catholic at that point) because people in the UK are used to govt being enacted through the medium of rationalism rather than er… using a medium.
I was reading about President Obama still having not chosen a Washington church for his family to visit – serious question – is this like a big scandal or something or is it being brushed under the carpet?
(My take – I mean really. Who cares? Can he govern? Looks like it. Then shut up and get on with whatever you were previously doing. Unless that involves sacrificing cats)
