that's not godwin's law but a college drinking game based on it. godwin only noted that the longer a discussion thread extended the higher the chance of a hitler/3rd Reich reference.

I first encountered Godwin's Law nearly 10 years ago. Why the hell hasn't it offline and into the real world? It's fairly basic: first person to bring up Hitler in a debate loses.
