It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Sarah Palin's Plane, Which Is Not a Bus!
True or false: Sarah Palin wrote a book called Going Rogue all by herself, to "set the record straight" with no particular regard for the year — what is it again, 2011? 2013? — and now she's driving around the country in a tour bus to sign copies of her book.
False, false and, uh, also false…
It seems now that Palin hasn't been on the bus, except for short hops between local airports and hotels and book-signing sites. Instead, as first reported by the Alaskan blog Palingates, she's apparently been aboard UJT750, the Gulfstream American twin-jet that she first boarded at Westchester County airport shortly after noon on November 18, bound for Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the first stop on her tour.
On November 25, the plane carried Palin, her parents, her two youngest children and her Aunt Katie [Ed. note: Aunt Katie mystery solved!] to Pasco, Washington, for Thanksgiving. And there it sat, at Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, for four full days, which is a lot of inactivity for a plane that rents for more than $4,000 an hour.
An exhausted HarperCollins publicist — who's schlepping on the bus along with the rest of Palin's staff — just told Greg Sargent that yeah, Palin has taken the jet "for logistical reasons," but only a couple of times. Yet the plane's flight log (scroll down, click to enlarge) shows that it's been taking off and landing in exact accordance with Palin's tour schedule.
So now everyone's wondering (again) if Sarah Palin is a hypocrite, but look, the answer's right there on the side of the bus she isn't riding. She's going rogue! That's what she does! You want bus tours as usual, fine, you go with the person who just gets on the bus and rides the bus wherever it's going. You want a new direction in bus tours, you go with the person who gets on the private jet and pretends it's a bus.
Frankly, I'm surprised she didn't try to do this bus tour in a submarine.

I think this woman needs a pysch evaluation
she is apparently having a manic episode that followed the depressive episode she had when she left office. What will happen when she hits the schizophrenic episode? Now that should prove entertaining.
My concern is for the children. Who will take care of them while her mind is soaring thru the skies in a Gulfstream, or does she think she sprouts wings when it is convenient?
And where does all this freakin money come from?
Has anyone let Sarah Palin know that 'Going Rogue' is a euphemism for unprotected anal sex?
They both have well ya know wheels and and engines and stuff and why all the "gotcha" questions and stuff like your Katie Couric or something and Oh' golly I hafta go change Trig's diaper right now. So I gotta go now… bye!
I'm seeing similarities between the party crashers and Palin. The difference is just the party. Reps take someone like Palin seriously because she plays the part. how well . . . . maybe well enough for the red state voters, but she has no traction, none with anyone with the circumspection to simply ask, "what does she really do?" what's her political character and will? what does she know? This "rogue" tour stunt won't get her elected. For me personally, the Palin addition made McCain look bad, not the other way around. McCain was the best the Reps had to offer, until they through in with him.
The one person most grateful for this fucking book is probably Todd Palin. It gets his egomaniacal gargoyle of a wife out of the house at least. Hey Todd! If and when you've finally had enough of that bee-yotch, there's a randy broad in Colorado who'll whisk you off to her cabin in the mountains and show you the real meaning of going rogue!

FWIW: They don't actually, generally, charge full price for holding time on plane charters, and if she's taking it for the entire tour, she's almost certainly not paying per-hour rates, either. I would expect that the price is a *lot* less by the month.

The one thing I was truly and sincerely thankful for was that White House crashing, stupid reality show seeking, wannabe famous couple who knocked the other wannabe and her useless book off the news sites.
