The Daily Show Follows the Rise and Fall of Joe Lieberman (Part 1 – The Rise)

Over the weekend, the full quantity of bile that has been slowly building up inside Joe Lieberman made itself manifest as the senator from Connecticut declared himself an obstinate obstructionist to his caucusing party's plan for meaningful health care reform.

It may be hard to remember, but Lieberman wasn't always the pariah of the Democratic Party. There was a time — back at the beginning of this interminably long decade — when he was one of its more honored sons. But much has happened since then.

Let's follow the rise and fall of Joe Lieberman, through the lens of The Daily Show's video cameras…
