House GOP to Sink Bipartisan Support Unless President Does What They Want

The other day, President Barack Obama called for a televised bipartisan summit on health care so that Democrats and Republicans can get all their concerns on reform out on the table in front of America, so that Congress can get past the road blocks that have stood in the way of making some much needed change. Seems like something that would be hard to refuse, right?

Boehner (Ohio) and Minority Whip Eric Cantor (Va.)] raised the prospect Monday night that they might refuse to participate in President Obama's proposed health care summit if the White House chooses not to scrap the existing reform bills and start over…

" 'Bipartisanship' is not writing proposals of your own behind closed doors, then unveiling them and demanding Republican support," Boehner and Cantor wrote. "Bipartisan ends require bipartisan means."

Yeah, like setting up as many roadblocks as possible so that nothing ever ever never gets done. But doesn't get done bipartisanshiply.
