This past weekend of course saw The Super Bowl as well as the big Tea Party convention in Tennessee. But as Jon Stewart pointed out on last night's Daily Show, it was also Ronald Reagan's birthday. The only way it could have been a more patriotastic weekend is if a bald eagle had waterboarded some foreigners with a 200-year-old jar of Betsy Ross's urine. Maybe next year.
Stephen Colbert's take on the Tea Party convention can be found below.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report air Monday through Thursday starting at 11pm / 10c.

On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart played tape of President Obama taking a question at a New Hampshire town hall meeting from a man named Dick Swett. Obviously that's a funny name, but before we get too carried away, it's important to understand that Dick Swett is just the gentleman's professional name. His birth name is actually Dong Perspiration.
After the jump, Jon responds to Rachel Maddow's eviscerations by skullfucking the blogosphere.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Four years ago, John McCain was open to repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell, and now he's not. A flip-flop perhaps, but as a decorated military man, his perspective is extremely valuable in this debate. I mean, for all we know, if gays had been allowed to serve openly when McCain was in the Navy, we might have very well lost the Revolutionary War.
Stephen Colbert's take on McCain's change of heart can be found below.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report air Monday through Thursday starting at 11pm / 10c.

On last night's Colbert Report, Eliot Spitzer made his first appearance on the show since the prostitution scandal that ended his Governorship. Now, obviously, there's an impulse to make cheap hooker jokes. After all, he's now a banking expert; the fucking-people-for-money zingers practically make themselves. But come on, there's a lot more to Eliot Spitzer than that. For example, he's bald.
The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.

After naming him last week's Alpha Dog, Stephen Colbert had Harold Ford Jr. on last night to defend some apparent changes in his positions. It turns out transforming from a pro-life, anti-gay right-of-center Tennessean Blue Dog into a dyed in the wool liberal New Yorker doesn't make Ford a flip-flopper after all. It's just like in nature when a caterpillar emerges from its cocoon as a beautiful hippopotamus.
The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.

As you may have heard, President Obama recently held a lunch conference where he fielded questions from Congressional Republicans. The event was televised and many have considered it to be a brilliant move on the President's part. It seems to have helped make progress with the GOP too. Instead of the party of "No," they've agreed to become the party of "Nah."
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.
