Huckabee/Christ '08
Mike Huckabee is taking heat today from the tiny minority of voters opposed to an American theocracy after it was learned that in 1998, Huckabee said, "I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ."
This should not be confused with this similar Fred Thompson quote: "I hope we answer the alarm clock and hit the snooze bar on account of I really like naps."
Meanwhile, Huckabee is also stirring controversy for suggesting in 1992 that AIDS patients should be quarantined. But Huckabee was quick to clarify today that he misspoke and meant to say gay AIDS patients should be quarantined.
