• Barack Obama Renounces and Rejects Jeremiah Wright

After several days of stealing headlines by saying that all the flap over his "God damn America" comments were in fact "an attack on the black church," Rev. Jeremiah Wright just received a smack down of sorts.

Barack Obama held a special press conference today to let everybody know that he is not above talking shit on his former spiritual mentor

"His comments were not only divisive… but I believe that they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate… Whatever relationship I had with Reverend Wright has changed as a consequence of this," Obama said…

"At a certain point if what somebody says contradicts what you believe so fundamentally and then he questions whether or not you believe it — in front of the National Press Club — then that's enough," Obama said, referring to Wright's suggestion that Obama's denouncement was what a politician had to say.

Wait a minute. Haven't I read this somewhere before? Isn't this the part where all the right-wing pundits who were so outraged at Obama's association with Wright start accusing Obama of throwing his best friend under the bus?

    Update: Here's the video…

Update #2: In response to thisniss, I refuse to throw the phrase "throw under the bus" under the bus. I would recommend that you throw your objections to it under the bus.
