Though staggeringly tragic natural disasters are generally not covered by Indecision 2008, we figure that some candidate will find some way to turn the tragedy in Myanmar (or Burma, like Matt over at the CC Insider, we don't know what to call it) into an election issue, so why not get ahead of the story. After all, the other major news outlets know that it's the big news of the day.
CNN for instance has one of those sweeping disaster shots meant to give you an overview of the extent of the devastation:
MSNBC went the opposite route, choosing to show the disaster from the human perspective. In this image, you can see relief workers handing out water to survivors:
And Fox News, God bless 'em, recognized that 22,000+ dead at least ranks as one of the top three stories of the day, though not quite as important as the conviction of Uma Thurman's stalker, but more important than the global hunt for a "severe" pedophile.
