• Crusading Conservative Pundits Strike Hard Blow at Evil, Adorable WALL-E

So, I was just randomly pushing buttons on my computer with my eyes closed, and I happened upon this page on a website that I've absolutely never heard of called SuicideGirls. I have no idea what the main focus of the website is, but they do appear to have a political blogger called FearTheReaper on staff, and he's uncovered a phenomenon that had totally escaped me.

Apparently, the conservative right half of Blogopolis is all busy wailing in distress and wrending their clothes over that new Pixar movie, WALL-E (Ed Note: Adorable!). You know, that movie about that Robert Novak-looking robot in the future who falls in love with a flying iPhone?

Why? Because it's sending out a dangerous message to children that we should not completely destroy the Earth. Fuckin' hippy robots!

    He quotes NRO's Shannen Coffin

From the first moment of the film, my kids were bombarded with leftist propaganda about the evils of mankind. It's a shame, too, because the robot had promise. The story was just awful, however.

    FTR's response…

Hey, lady named after the box we put dead people in, the movie is about love and the dangers of excess. Believing in exercise and using your mind are not part of the "liberal agenda." That God you worship sort of set shit up like that. He gave you parts to use. The movie is saying if you don't use the shit God gave you, then it ain't gonna work out that well. As far as all the pollution, you may want to become familiar with the term "exaggeration" because it is a pretty common storytelling tool. And as far as it being an "awful" story — welcome to the world of being alone.

And there's so much more! I'd like to quote the whole article, but would be, um… stealing. So, you should read the whole thing. That is, if you're the kind of person who enjoys banging their head against the wall.

Oh, and if you figure out what the rest of the website is like, let me know. I hear they have pictures there or something.
