Countdown to Electiony: 93 Days
On December 26, 2006, President Gerald Ford succumbed to arteriosclerotic cerebrovascular disease and diffuse arteriosclerosis (whatever that is) and died at the age of 93 years and 165 days, making him our country's most long-lived president, beating out Ronald Reagan by 45 days.
Of course, by the time he reached that distinguished old age, he had lost most of the spry-footed agility and statuesque composure for which he had been so famous and respected as our Head of State.
Go back to Day 94.
