• Which Neil Patrick Harris is Barack Obama's Best VP Pick?

As people check incessantly for their text message from Barack Obama announcing his vice presidential pic, we couldn't help but wonder: with so many incarnations of Neil Patrick Harris, which one of them would fare the best — or worst — as a running mate for the Democratic nominee? Here are the pros and cons of each NPH:

    "Doogie Howser, M.D." Neil:

Pros: They're both young, well-educated overacheivers with nicknames

Cons: Obama already has the computer diary-keeper (aka blogger) vote; Vinnie probably couldn't get clearance to climb through White House windows

    "Cabaret Emcee" Neil:

Pros: "Leave you troubles outside! So, life is disappointing? Forget it! We have no troubles here! Here life is beautiful…the girls are beautiful…even the orchestra is beautiful!"

Cons: "We switch partners daily, to play as we please…"

How I Met Your Mother's "Barney" Neil:

Pros: Wears a mean suit, always quick with a handshake (or high-five), will help coin some undoubtably legen-dary campaign slogans

Cons: Was once suspected of terrorist activities for repeatedly showing up at the airport with empty luggage to pick up girls

    "Harold and Kumar" Neil:

Pros: Unlike McCain VP frontrunner Mitt Romney, would be in on the joke

Cons: Would appeal primarily young, college-educated, drug-dabbling post-post-post ironic voters who have had some trouble warming up to this guy Obama
