Joe Biden and John Kerry's Freudian Slips

Tonight in their speeches, both Joe Biden and John Kerry slipped up and started to call John McCain, "George Bush."

Maybe I've been watching this election for too long, but I've become too cynical to think that these are honest mistakes. Could the Democrats be trying to make the case that John McCain is George Bush on a subliminal level in addition to their more overt superliminal campaign?
