Happy Birthday, John McCain!

So, you thought John McCain was gonna get himself a robot friend for his birthday today? Nope! He got himself a female VP, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, presumably to woo female voters, apparently based on the belief that the women who were supporting Hillary Clinton were only doing so because of Clinton's gender, and not because of, you know, her beliefs or qualifications.

It raises some questions:

* Does this mean McCain can't talk about Obama's inexperience anymore?

* Does it mean that McCain has now lost two friends named Joe?

* Will Palin get Biden-ated at the next Vice Presidential debate?

* Can a self-respecting political comedy blog post something about McCain's birthday without referencing how very old he is?
