Highlights From the Rush Limbaugh/Sarah Palin Love-In

Sarah Palin called in to Rush Limbaugh's syndicated radio show yesterday, but given the nature of her conversation, she could have just as easily dialed a 1-900 phone sex operator.

It was nothing but love and tenderness between the conservative bedfellows, as evidenced by banter such as…

* Limbaugh declaring Palin to be a "natural," while blurting, "I admire you so much I really don't know what to say."

* Palin showing enormous restraint by waiting nearly half the interview to mention Bill Ayers.

* Limbaugh announcing that Obama would only be at 30 percent in the polls if not for the "mainstream media" bequeathing him another 20 percent.

* Both lovers agreeing that said mainstream media is conspiring to get Palin to "sit down and shut up" with their gonzo tactics of reporting from her rallies and printing the text of her speeches.

* Palin declaring, "Rush, I've got nothing to lose," which might actually be true…

Unless, of course, you're counting the presidential election, prospects for a second term as governor, and the jilted heart of previous lover/interviewer Sean Hannity.
