Remember Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann? Sure you do. She's the one who went on MSNBC in October and told Chris Matthews that "The news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look at the views of the people in Congress and find out if they're pro-America or anti-America."

Minnesotans, with their dry Midwestern sense of humor, re-elected this woman anyway! And the other day she went on Hannity & Colmes to explain those Joe the McCarthy-type comments, once and for all…

COLMES: Well, of course you're going to — let me ask you very quickly. You've said you were concerned during the campaign that Obama had anti-American views. You said the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look at the views of the people in Congress and find out if they're pro or anti America.

BACHMANN: Actually, that's not what I said at all.

COLMES: Well, I'm just — I'm reading your exact quote.

BACHMANN: Actually that's not [what] I said. It's an urban legend that was created. That isn't what I said at all.

And then the funniest thing happened, an alligator swam up from the toilet and ate Michele Bachmann.
