President Obama called on faith to be a uniting force for good at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, while detailing some of his administration's religious priorities.
"Far too often, we have seen faith wielded as a tool to divide us from one another – as an excuse for prejudice and intolerance," Obama said in prepared remarks. "But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being."
President Obama is absolutely right. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being.
Nope. And there's also no reason at all to not invite a bunch of faith-based interest groups to help drive policy for the administration.
