• Rahm Emanuel Saves Man's Life During Least Life-Affirming Movie Ever Filmed

Over the weekend, I finally got around to seeing The Wrestler. Oddly enough, when I mentioned that to this blog's producer, Darcy, she told me that she had also finally gotten around to seeing the movie. But that's not really all that interesting, is it?

What if I told you that I just now discovered that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel also just got around to seeing The Wrestler this weekend? Is that any more interesting.

Maybe a little, but not really.

Okay, but… what if I told you that Emanuel somehow also found the time to save some dude's life while watching the movie?

"The guy sitting next to Rahm — literally sharing an armrest with him — had a seizure of some kind," the moviegoer tells [Ben Smith].

"Rahm used some vulgarities to impress upon the movie theater staff — who wanted to move the guy out of the movie theater so they could restart the film — that they should wait until EMS got there."

Emanuel stayed and helped, I'm told, until EMS arrived.

Neither Darcy nor I saved anybody's life while watching The Wrestler. Not that either of us can recall, at least. (There were some parts in the middle where I started to zone out.) And I can't say that I would have if given the opportunity. Not with the mood that movie put me in.

However, on a related note, I did actively murder the guy who recommended I go see Benjamin Button.
