• China Calls for Golbal Currency, the Beginning of End Times

    This is how it begins

China called for the creation of a new currency to eventually replace the dollar as the world's standard, proposing a sweeping overhaul of global finance that reflects developing nations' growing unhappiness with the U.S. role in the world economy.

The unusual proposal, made by central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan in an essay released Monday in Beijing, is part of China's increasingly assertive approach to shaping the global response to the financial crisis.

I saw those Left Behind movies. (I actually did. For real.) I know the signs. First comes the global currency. Then a single world-government, divided into 10 "kingdoms" for no good reason. And then everybody starts talking to everyone like characters in Jack Chick comics.

But, don't worry, we won't have to start really worrying until an impossibly charismatic and popular young politician with lots of liberal ideas comes to power.
