• Sonia Sotomayor Nominated to Supreme Court

As you've probably heard by now, Sonia Sotomayor — a poor Puerto Rican girl from the South Bronx who, through hard work and dedication, managed to becomeĀ  a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals — has been nominated by President Obama to replace David Souter on Supreme Court.

So, what you're probably wondering is: Why is she evil? She looks on paper like a sterling example the American Dream, but she must be hiding something horrible, maladroit and offensive to all things good and decent.

Let's go check out WorldNet Daily. They'll have the answer!

In a forum at the Duke University School of Law in 2005, Sonia Sotomayor said, "Court of appeals is where policy is made. And I know — and I know this is on tape and I should never say that because we don't make law, I know. OK, I know. I'm not promoting it, and I'm not advocating it, I'm — you know. OK. Having said that, the court of appeals is where, before the Supreme Court makes the final decision, the law is percolating — its interpretation, its application."…

Sotomayor would replace the far left-leaning Souter and speculation was thick today whether she would — or even could — move the court further to the left.

Really? Is that it? Making a statement of observation about the formation of legal policy and its relation to the court system.

Frankly, I was hoping for better from you, WorldNetDaily.
