U.S. Government Asked Twitter to Postpone Scheduled Maintenance
Apparently, Twitter needed the U.S. State Department to step in and tell them that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to shut down their website right in the middle of one of the biggest citizen-uprisings in recent history…The U.S. State Department contacted the social networking service Twitter over the weekend to urge it to delay a planned upgrade that could have cut daytime service to Iranians, a U.S. official said on Tuesday.
So, on the plus side, Iranian citizens got to tell each other where to go so as not to die.
But, on the minus side, the font size is still a litlle bit off on Twitter's right hand nav bar. And that's kind of ugly.
