• Sarah Palin Has Found a Higher Calling, But It Doesn't Involve Making Any Sense

Wasn't it nice how everyone set off fireworks over the weekend, to celebrate Sarah Palin's patriotic abdication* of her duties as an elected official? But while you were relaxing with a bucket of wine coolers the soon-to-be-ex Governor was toiling in the victimization mines, Twittering incoherently yet indignantly

Critics are spinning, so hang in there as they feed false info on the right decision made as I enter last yr in office to not run again….

Yes, hang in there, America! Be strong, and do not consume the "false info." Have the potato salad instead! Remember, winners never quit and quitters never say they quit, they just post rambling Facebook notes about findin' themselves a higher calling

How sad that Washington and the media will never understand; it’s about country. And though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make.

Thus far Sarah Palin's higher calling involves siccing her lawyers on a blogger who reported on rumors of an FBI investigation, and dragging some poor Alaskan FBI official away from his one weekend off to say, Nah, there's no investigation. See? It's about country.

Just not the part of the country that actually elected her.

*Man, we are going to be parsing this nutty Sarah Palin resignation forever, at least until Sarah Palin does another batshit insane thing in public, which- what, you want to say a week? Maybe a week?
