Barack Obama Gives the N.A.A.C.P. Some Helpful Parenting Tips
President Obama's speech at the N.A.A.C.P. anniversary dinner last night was a stirring call for personal and parental responsibility, as he urged his listeners to "put away the Xbox" and encourage their children to aim for something beyond the basketball hoop…“No one has written your destiny for you,” he said, directing his remarks to “all the other Barack Obamas out there” who might one day grow up to be president. “Your destiny is in your hands, and don’t you forget that. That’s what we have to teach all of our children! No excuses! No excuses!”
No excuses for straight kids, that is.
If your kids are gay they have several excellent excuses for not growing up to be president, so they might as well have their Xbox fix.
